Autodesk held their yearly One Team Africa Conference on 3 April 2009. At this event all the Autodesk Valued Added Resellers in Africa, came together and celebrate the year’s successes. It is at the end of the evening that an awards ceremony was held and Modena Design Centres walked away with the following awards:

This award is awarded to the largest Value Added Reseller in the Manufacturing space

Both these particular awards are kept close to Modena Design Centres heart, as over the last 4 years, along with many other awards, we have proudly walked away with both awards Modena Design Centres would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our valued clients that have supported us through out the past year, as without your support, none of our achievements would have been possible!

Inventor Rectangular Feature Pattern

By Mark Flayler, IMAGINiT

Inventor’s Rectangular Feature Pattern contains advanced options for complicated patterns of geometry including curve driven patterns based on curve length, distance, and spacing along a curve. The Curve Length option uses the length of the path geometry (e.g., line, spline) as the total distance between the first and last occurrence, and coupled with more complex sketches this type of Pattern is quite powerful.

Inventor i-Copy

Autodesk Labs is home to innovative new technologies and collaborative development. Its mission is to involve you, the customer, in the progress of design technology solutions.  The new software available on Autodesk Labs is Inventor iCopy

The Autodesk Inventor iCopy Technology Preview can significantly improve productivity by enabling you to make multiple copies of an assembly that automatically resize to fit their design. By capturing a few key constraints, such as connection points and paths, iCopy creates and inserts multiple instances of the assembly and automatically adjusting the size and shape of each occurrence based on their functional requirements.

iCopy for Inventor helps you:

·         Save time by easily customizing commonly-used assemblies

·         Avoid errors when working with complex designs involving multiple paths

·         Innovate by exploring multiple design iterations quickly

Click here to download this software, and please remember to give them feedback on product ideas in the early conceptual stage
